Event Preview: Pudsey Scarecrow Festival

September in Pudsey means only one thing... It's Scarecrow time! Every September Pudsey becomes awash with crazy creations from people of all ages adoring gardens, streets and even Pudsey's beloved park. It's a sight to behold and this year is set to be no different with the super cool theme: Superheroes!

Founded in 2019, Pudsey Scarecrow Festival has been a fan favourite within the community for a number of years. On the day not only will you find fantastic Scarecrow creations, but you’ll also find live music, craft stalls, food stalls, goods stalls and much more besides!

Applications are still open to join this fantastic event, whether you’re a trader/charity/community group or you’d like to showcase your creation.

If you’d like to take part with a superhero creation, then head over here: https://www.pudseyscarecrowfestival.co.uk/scarecrow-application/ don’t worry if you’re not from Pudsey, or you don’t have anywhere at home to display it – the team encourages Scarecrows in Pudsey Park which is the central hub of the event therefore if you’re in the West Leeds area and want to join in, drop them an application today!

All money raised on the day will be handed to good causes in the Pudsey area, meaning your money will be put to fantastic use and stay within the community.

If you are thinking about heading there on the day for a browse, then the team do encourage you to walk or use public transport as parking will be limited.
