On the 21st of October, the Pudsey & Farsley Royal British Legion branch is proud to invite the residents of Pudsey and beyond to join them as they unveil 2 specially commissioned memorial benches at Pudsey Cenotaph.
The project is the brainchild of two British Legion members and Pudsey residents, Steve Sanderson and Malcolm Booth and has been generously funded by the Pudsey Lodges of the Freemasons.
The short service begins at 11am and will be attended by a number of VIP guests including the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Yorkshire Stan Hardy who also represents the Royal British Legion, and the Provincial Grand Master of Yorkshire and the West Riding James Newman representing the Freemasons. Also in attendance on the day will be 9 military associations and the Greenside School Choir with accompaniment from 2387 Squadron Air Cadets band.
The event is set to be incredibly poignant and the West Leeds Events team will be in attendance on the day supporting those that have worked so hard to bring this together.
A huge well done to Steve and Malcolm, and to those that have supported their efforts including the Freemasons.
See you on the day.
